Chapter 5: Truth

We hold Truths to be self evident after reading one or two articles written by experts: from Harvard, from the CDC, from a Textbook, from the Bible. And while I do believe that some Truths are self evident, I do not think most of what we hold as true can actually be said to be the Truth.

Saying you understand Gravity after taking a physics course is like saying you are an athlete after jogging a few times.

Not to mention, how can you know about something that even the experts can’t agree about?

Truth is a pursuit, it is not a destination.

Chapter 4: Guns and Ammo

Alright, you military types are going to think I am a dumbass. I beg your forgiveness. Hear me out.

I am a 50ish year old woman who has never been in the Military Services. I live with my mother who is aging and whom I care for. I mean that in all ways. I feel blessed.

We live in a house that is minimally defendable, and I am the only person here who would take on that role.

I have several friends who have taken me shooting, and I have shot a variety of firearms.

Chapter 3: Reagan

I have never been in the military services.

After years of standing at the sidelines of that particular form of service to the world, I can say I am very grateful to those who have served.

Thank you.

I was raised in a house that was Liberal. Reagan was elected when I was 8, and I remember my father screaming at the television. He had never done that before.

Chapter 2: the River of Change

The river of change and long, and has many branches.

More branches than you or I can imagine.

Each decision, each choice, moves us down a different branch.

Some of the branches connect in ways that are not always logical or clear, and some of the branches that initially seemed broad and vast, downriver, become murky and fetid, or violently choppy.

It’s anybody’s guess, really.
